Our Story
Parchman carries a complicated legacy. For generations, its name has been tied to punishment, labor, and injustice without meaningful opportunity for rehabilitation and personal development.
But this chapter is different.
Today, Parchman Farms stands for redemption, responsibility, and real opportunity.
Through a groundbreaking partnership between the Mississippi Department of Corrections and MAGCOR Industries, we’re reimagining what this land and the people on it can become.
By cultivating skills, character, and self-worth through agriculture, we’re giving incarcerated Mississippians the tools they need to contribute meaningfully to their communities, now and in the future. It’s not about forgetting the past, it’s about doing something better with what we’ve inherited.
Our Mission
To create a world-class agricultural operation that prepares incarcerated Mississippians for meaningful work, grows opportunity for successful reentry, and contributes to a stronger future for our state.
Our Vision
We envision a Mississippi where incarceration doesn’t mean the end of opportunity, but provides achievable pathways for transformation. At Parchman Farms, we grow food, we grow skills, and most importantly, we grow people.
