What We Do
At Parchman Farms, we use agriculture as a catalyst for change. Through hands-on training, skill-building, and sustainable farm practices, we’re preparing incarcerated Mississippians to reenter society with the tools they need to succeed on the farm and beyond.
A FARM WITHA PURPOSE
Spanning 27 square miles of fertile Mississippi Delta land, Parchman Farms is one of the largest and most ambitious agricultural rehabilitation efforts in the country. But we’re not just growing crops, we’re cultivating futures.
What We Farm
We operate a fully diversified, production-scale farm. Under the leadership of seasoned agricultural experts and in partnership with research institutions, incarcerated individuals work side-by-side with professionals to gain real-world experience.
OUR OPERATIONS INCLUDE:
Vegetables
Livestock
Goods & Processing
Row Crops
Wildlife Preservation
EDUCATION &
EMPLOYMENT TRAINING
At the heart of our work is a belief in second chances. Parchman Farms provides structured training in technical and durable skills that translate directly to employment after release.
From planting and harvesting to logistics and equipment operation, Parchman Farm workers reentering society are prepared to go to work in meaningful jobs with the confidence and competence to contribute to their families, communities, and industries.
CONSERVATION & WILDLIFE
We are equally committed to stewarding the land. Portions of the farm are dedicated to wildlife protection and native species conservation.
This ensures a sustainable balance between production and preservation.
